Bhaashaa - PSP Contest 2023

THEME: Celebrations.

 

ABOUT:

Bhaashaa Foundation and The Photographic Society of Pune (PSP)invite entries from photographers across India as part of the 3-day annual Katha Yatra, organised by the Foundation. The competition winners and shortlisted entries will also be part of an exhibition, held during this event.

 

The theme is ‘Celebrations’. An event, a memory, a festival, an occasion, a special day, an instance of happiness or even just being alive- Celebrations are always part of our lives. The theme of this photo contest is showcasing that precious act or moment of celebration.

 

So pick up your cameras and share with us your images of those special celebrations.

PHOTO SIZE and QUANTITY: 4MB, 5 nos. Maximum per participant.

REGISTRATION FEE: NIL/ Free.

SUBMISSION DATE: 22nd November, 2023 (Till 11.59 pm)

SUBMISSION DETAILS:

  1. Images have to be original-must be created independently rather than copied from another, and it must demonstrate a minimal amount of creative authorship.

  2. Image size: Max 1920 pixel width and max 1080 pixels height; either dimension can be less than the maximum.

  3. Submit as jpegs: 4mb maximum at 300dpi resolution.

  4. 5 nos of images maximum per participant.

  5. No watermark/ name should be on the image.

  6. Image should not have any border

  7. Photos that have been digitally altered beyond standard optimization will be disqualified. Acceptable methods for standard optimization include removal of dust, cropping, and reasonable adjustments to colour and contrast.

  8. Last date of submission: 21st November, 2023 (Till 11.59pm)

  9. Judging of Entries: 24th November, 2023.

  10. Announcement of Winners and Shortlisted Entries for Exhibition: 28th November, 2023

PRIZES:

1st Prize: ₹7,000/-

2nd Prize:. ₹5,000/-

3rd Prize: ₹3,000/-

5 nos. Certificates of Merit.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS:

  1. Shortlisted entries (upto 50 nos) based on the jury discretion will be exhibited during the Katha Yatra event on December 1,2 and 3 in Pune.

  2. Entries that will be exhibited will be available on sale to attendees of the event.

  3. 50% of proceeds from the sale of each photograph will be given to the photographer, while 50% will be given to the Foundation.

  4. By participating in this contest, you agree to all the above terms and conditions.

JURY:

An esteemed panel of jurors from the Photography field and representatives of Bhaashaa Foundation will judge the entries.

ABOUT BHAASHAA FOUNDATION:

ABOUT PSP:

The Photographic Society of Pune is a 23-year old illustrious photography club, also one of the oldest in Pune. With award-winning photographers as members and mentors, across the globe, PSP has been contributing to create a platform for FIne Art Photography in India. The club has many achievements to its credit, organises National level contests and salons, and also conducts talks, workshops and tours for its members and for photography enthusiasts.
